i once thought that when every door closed
a window would open
but right now i don’t even see a crack to step through
to be somewhere other than where i am
and where i am is the last place i want to be
and where i am is the last place i thought i’d be
and i’m beginning to wonder
how will anything ever be different
than what’s in front of me
and i’m struggling to remember
that wherever i am You are too
