Virtual Author Visit
Tanner was a delight to have visit our classroom! He connected with the students in such a natural and fun way. His enthusiasm and passion were evident as he shared his poetry. My students were talking about his visit days afterwards!
Kiara Denholm, 4th grade teacher
I have had the joy of sharing poetry and storytelling with students of all ages—from kindergarten to college classrooms. Over the years, I’ve spoken at public and private schools across the United States, bringing words to life through poetry, storytelling, chapel messages, assemblies, and interactive writing workshops.
Teachers and Educators,
Are you looking for a modern-day poet to inspire your students?
Do you have aspiring young writers eager to learn from a published author?
Do some of your students struggle with poetry and need a fresh perspective?
Could your classroom use a creative spark?
A virtual author visit is an opportunity to ignite creativity, encourage reluctant writers, and show students that words have power. Through poetry, storytelling, and engaging discussions, I aim to make writing fun, accessible, and meaningful.

Questions and Answers
How does a virtual author visit go?
It is simple, engaging, and highly impactful.
During the 30-minute Zoom author visit, Tanner will share a few of his poems and read one of his children's books.
To conclude the visit, Tanner will take time to answer questions from students and staff.
How much does it cost?
Pay what you want.
Why is this only for Christian schools?
At this time, I'm focusing on Christian schools because much of my work and many of my books are rooted in faith and explore themes of God, hope, kindness, and belonging. I also have longstanding relationships within Christian education communities, which makes it a natural place for me to begin offering author visits.
That said, many of my poems and children's books speak to universal experiences and resonate with readers from a wide variety of backgrounds. I'm always open to conversations with other schools and organizations to see whether a visit would be a good fit for their students and community.
