Hi!

I’m Tanner.

I'm an author, spoken word poet, and speaker passionate about helping people put words to hope, grief, faith, and the everyday living of life. Through poetry, storytelling, and humor, I hope to invite you to slow down, pay attention, rest in the love of God, and remember that this life—even in all its ordinary and complicated moments—is a gift.

Over the years, I've had the privilege of traveling across the country to speak and perform in churches, conferences, and schools. Some people have called me a "stand-up poet-theologian," which feels like a fitting description of what I try to do: blend honesty, grace, and a little humor to create work that's relatable, accessible, and rooted in hope.

Whether I'm sharing a poem, a prayer, or a story, my hope is always the same—that you'll feel seen, encouraged, and a little less alone.

I’m the author of multiple books, including All the Things I Say to God (Zonderkidz, 2025) and Getting Through What You’re Going Through: Notes and Poems for Hoping and Becoming (Zondervan, 2026).

You can follow my work on Instagram, Facebook, and Substack.
