shake souls awake
there’s something about
words spoken with sincerity
that shakes my soul awake.
words placing promises
of forever and always
an honest reminder that we are more
than our finest mistake
may our words continue
to shake souls awake.
I’m often asked why I became a writer.
If you’ve been following Written to Speak you may have heard me share how I never thought I would be a writer. If you want to know more about it, check out the sixth episode of my podcast.
And if you know anything about my writing, it isn’t perfect.
I struggle, to find, the right place, for commas, to go.
I’m still not sure; how to use - proper: “punctuation” .
(Yes, I do have a fear of those who call themselves a “Grammar Nazi”)
But this doesn’t keep me from writing.
Fear isn’t a good enough reason to keep me from doing what I love to do.
I write because I hope to shake souls awake.
I write to spread hope.
I write to announce love.
I write to inspire others to write.
I write to encourage others to shake souls awake with their lives.
